at Ethnic Dance Expressions

The Community Education Department at Santa Fe College (SFC) offers several of their six week leisure courses at Ethnic Dance Expressions School of Belly Dance. Registration is through their department. The current course is Yoga For Relaxation. (Course Descriptions.)

Anyone can register for Santa Fe College's Community Education courses. You don't have to be a SFC student, live in Alachua County, be a Florida resident or a citizen of the United States.

Ethnic Dance Expressions is located in Plaza West, 4000 W. Newberry Road, Ste. D-2. Call 352-384-9200 for directions or click on "Map and Directions." We are located next to Tire Kingdom. Turn in at Mega Gaming and Comics in Plaza West.

How to Register for SFC Classes

Due to the popularity of SFC's classes, it is strongly recommended that you register early through SFC during their official registration period. (See their web site at: www.sfcollege.edu/cied/communityed/) for the actual registration dates if you do not receive the "Enrich" brochure in the Gainesville Sun. If you miss the the official registration period or you have been placed on the waiting list, come to the first class and fill-out a registration form at Ethnic Dance Expressions. If there are any cancellations, your registration will be accepted so you can attend class. Registration on site must be with a credit card, money order or check made payable to Santa Fe College.

SFC Has 5 Methods of Registration

Here are the four methods of registering for SFC Community Education classes:

1. Web Site Catalog: www.sfcollege.edu/cied/communityed. You can register and pay online at your convenience.
2. Phone-In: (352)-395-5193 Between 8am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri. Have each student's name, address, birthday and phone number. Accept Master Card, Visa, Discover or American Express.
3. In Person: Drop by their office at SFC's Center for Innovation & Economic Development (CIED) at 530 W. University Ave., 8:00am-4:30pm, Mon.-Fri. Pay with Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, money order, check or cash.
4. Mail: Complete a registration form and attach a check or money order made payable to Santa Fe College. Mail to: Community Education, Center for Innovation & Economic Development (CIED), 530 W. University Avenue., Gainesville, FL 32601.
5. On Site Registration: Call 352-395-5193 the day before or the first day of class to see if space is available. Pay with Master Card, Visa, Discover or American Express; check or money order made out to SFC. Cash cannot be accepted at on-site registrations for Community Education.

Dual Enrollment

Due to the random offering of SFC's belly dance classes, dance students may want to try a dual-enrollment with SFC and Ethnic Dance Expressions so they can take classes on days other than SFC's and will not have to stop their dance classes when SFC's classes end for the term. Other Important Information

For full details and instructions, visit SFC Community Education web site or refer to the back of your Enrich catalog.

1. Facility Fees: There is a one time, $10 facility fee charge for each registrant payable directly to Ethnic Dance Expressions. This money is in lieu of SFC renting the facility and helps to cover rest room supplies, electric and water.
2. Class Cancellation: Community Education reserves the right to cancel classes based on low enrollment or other causes. Students will be notified in advance, and a full refund will be provided.
3. Refunds: You may drop a class and receive full refund by calling the Community Education office during the first two weeks of the community education term for any class 2 weeks or longer in length.
4. Senior Waivers: Senior 60 years and older may have their registration fees waived for their classes if register the first night of class, space is available, and the class has met the required minimum seats filled.

Other
